- Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to access safe and clean water sources and sanitation facilities.
- Employment opportunities, to access education and skilling opportunities.
- Food and nutritional security by accessing Agricultural production inputs to better their livelihoods
Teso Youth Agricultural Production Initiative for Peace (TEYAPI4Peace) therefore got officially established in December 2020 with a sub county and district registration.
Year 2021
Our first projects started in Gweri in 2021 with a Youth passion fruit project for peace followed by Orphaned and Vulnarable Children (OVCs) Education support project for 20 pupils in 3 Schools in Gweri Sub County Soroti District
Year 2022
Teso Youth Agricultural Production Initiative for Peace (TEYAPI4Peace)
history stretches back to 2019, when it was founded by
David Adengu. Teso Youth Agricultural Production Initiative for Peace (TEYAPI4Peace), was later formally established and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on 29th April 2022 and a registered Ugandan charity (NGO) on 12th July 2022. The organisation also obtained a permit on 12th July to operate for 5 years up to June 2027.
It should be noted that TEYAPI4Peace was established to promote agricultural
production, education and protect the environment to foster peace and
development. Despite over 70% of the population in Teso being engaged in
agriculture, only 30% of the farmers get good yields due to climatic changes
arising from global warming. Our initiative will lay the foundation to promote
peace by actively involving youth in feeding the world.
